Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in Algeria Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Algeria showcased a variety of performance trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps demonstrated a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 8.5K in mid-August. The app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users fluctuating between 211K and 241K throughout the quarter.

For Google Earth, weekly downloads showed a peak of roughly 1.8K in early September. However, its weekly active users experienced a gradual decline, ending the quarter at approximately 4.2K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw its weekly downloads peak at around 1.5K in late August. The app's weekly active users varied, with a high of 26K in mid-August before settling at around 20K by the end of September.

Qibla Compass (Kaaba Locator) experienced a steady growth in downloads, reaching about 361 in late September. The app's active user count increased to approximately 263 by late August before tapering off to 226 by the end of the quarter. Notably, there was a brief revenue spike, peaking at $5 in early August.

Lastly, MAPS.ME: Offline Maps, GPS Nav had a significant increase in weekly downloads in early August, hitting 617. Its active user base saw a notable rise to 1.5K in early August, maintaining a level above 900 for the remainder of the quarter. Revenue remained modest, with peaks of $3 observed intermittently.
